Gunnar Kleveland was named executive vice president of Integrated Operations for Bell Helicopter in August 2013 and is a member of Bell Helicopter’s Executive Leadership Team.
In his current role, Gunnar is responsible for Bell Helicopter’s international assembly and manufacturing operations, quality assurance, production engineering, supply chain, procurement activities, plant and equipment maintenance and plant protection. In addition, Gunnar oversees implementation of Bell Helicopter’ssafety culture.
Previously, Gunnar was the vice president, Supply Chain for Bell Helicopter. In this role he was responsible for the external supply base, warehousing and logistics for all of Bell Helicopter’s commercial and military programs.
Prior to that, Gunnar held various positions at Bell Helicopter, including director Supply Chain Integration and director of Procurement Major Systems and Subcontracts. Gunnar has been instrumental in developing strategic standard work as well as an operating cadence, which hasresulted in reduced cycle times, increased supplier performance and a stronger supply base. Prior to joining Textron in 2004, Gunnar was a pilot in the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF). He was an operational fighter and EW pilot on several aircraft and finished his 14 year career in the air force as the Chief of Flight Safety.
Gunnar holds a degree from the RNoAF Academy, a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Business Administration from Midwestern State University. Gunnaris Textron Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
