1. Does Bell offer internships?

Answer:

Bell offers a summer engineering internship program and typically, intern candidates are selected from the talent pool of the six core educational institutions with whom we have a working relationship. The number of internships available is based on budgetary considerations and departmental needs. Interns are selected based on major, cumulative GPA, college credit hours completed, previous experience and engineering area of interest.

At this time we have no plans to search for candidates outside of these core educational institutions. However, if we expand the engineering intern program in the future, we will work directly through educational institutions' information channels to advertise these opportunities at Bell.

In alphabetical order - the six core educational institutions are:

  1. Georgia Tech
  2. Penn State
  3. Tennessee State
  4. Texas A&M
  5. University of Texas at Arlington (UTA)
  6. University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin)

6. How does one apply for a job with Bell if the Textron search shows no matches?

Answer:

If there are no matches, this means there is nothing open for that position. However, it must match EXACTLY. Consequently, we suggest, that you search all positions and look at each one. For example, if you are searching for Executive Administrator, but it is listed as Executive Assistant then it won't show up for you.
