We must have a need for the product or service you are offering. We may not have a requirement that matches your area of expertise at the time you submit your capability questionnaire, but you will be considered if a requirement is subsequently generated. Many times small businesses attempting to get started in the government marketplace fail to conduct preliminary marketing research to determine what principal area of manufacture the corporation is engaged in, how the organization is structured and in what manner the product or service you supply is procured. Suppliers who do their homework prior to making initial contact will be better able to market their company to the needs and requirements of the subcontracting organization.
